feeding question

SnakeFreak Aug 18, 2004 11:52 AM

I have a baby BCI thats about 1.5 feet long. I'm currently feeding it hopper mice that are about as thick as the snake every 5 days. But it usually acts hungry about 3 days after I feed it. Is this normal or should I feed it bigger mice or feed it 2 at a time? And whats the biggest size mouse a boa this size can eat?

First off I would get rid of the mice!!!An do a switch to feeding rats instead! As far as size goes well the easiest way I have found to choose feeders are to look at the center of your boas body an choose a rat that is just a little, like I said LITTLE bigger than that an their you go!Every 7 to 10 days!As your boa grows increase the rat size the same way! This is the method I use an have had no problems with regurgitation or nothing! An rats are healthier for your boa than mice!Hope this helps! Thanks Eric![Hypoboa!]
