I was out by renoylds creek and I saw a Cal king. It wasnt a long
nosed snake. Is there any way that cal kings live in far western
Idaho?

1) You saw a Gopher Snake, which has saddles and bands very similar to Kingsnakes. In fact, they are cousins, with very similar behavior.
2) You saw a snake that someone let go, not native to the region.
As far as I know (I'm an ID native), range maps never extend to Idaho.
