colombian or argentine????

i posted earler about buying a black and white tegu from a pet store ,well now im kinda wondering if its a colombian or argentine, basically his coler is black with a cream like yellow coler on its head going down its back and then the tail is black with 5 white bands that goes to the end of the tail, also its legs have cream yellow spots all over them? i hope this helps .... PS i wish i knew how to post a pic

There is a very easy way to tell what type of tegu you have. If you look at the head on an Argentine there will be two distinct scales between the eye and the nostril. There will only be one scale on the columbian. Look at the attatched photo of my Argentine, See the two scales if yours looks like this you have an Argentine if not you have a columbian. Do not pay attention to colors as they share similar coloring that varies from lizard to lizard.

Well if you payed under 60 dollars and it wasnt marked argentine Black and White chances are its a columbian.
