Sometimes I sit in front of the TV and let one of the snakes crawl through my hands. Thats it. They are not social creatures, they do not want to go for a walk, they don't even want to sit and watch TV with me but they tolerate it.
Don't go for a "Walk" with your python. I know you think it's cool, and some other people may think so too, but some one with a desperate fear of snakes (And yes, some people have an unreasonable fear of snakes and they can't help it) will see that, decide you are a nuisance and begin trying to get the humane society to harrass everyone with "Exotics", even if we don't take our snakes for a "Walk".
Well Usually fun for my and my boys & girls does include movie time where i watch a movie and they let me hold them and pet them. But on rare occasions i will take them outside for picture time they like that sometimes, but other times i only get pictures of upset snakes.. But thats quality time with the snakes...
Sincerely,
Rose & Steve
i play with myn for 20 mins every day (exept when eating or sheding) and in hot whearther i let him on the lawn outside
We have two of them and handle them at LEAST once a day. Contary to popular belief, I think that mine have two very distinct personalities. They love being out of their tanks and go exploring. We do take them out to PETCO or PetSMart stores and have always been approached by people curious about them and they ask a lot of great questions.
Now this is just my experience and opinion.
I take mine out once a day, except the day of and day after feeding and around shedding time. I usually just sit on my bed holding him while watching TV or I'll walk around the apt. with him a little. He's fun to watch when I have him out because he'll just start slithering around on me and he always likes to rest his head on my shoulder which I'd show you a pic of if my scanner still worked. I know most people say BPs don't have personalities but I wonder about the one I have sometimes. I agree with whoever said that you shouldn't take him down to the park or any other public places like that. You're liable to get someone who isn't too thrilled about seeing someone walking around with a snake to try and cause some trouble for you. Just stick to inside your house or if you have a private area of your backyard that is away from neighbors and only if your BP is quite calm and won't decide to try and make a run for it out there. I just stick to the indoors since it's more of a controlled environment to be safe. He seems to be happy exploring a little in here.

I handle my male BP about three or four times a week (except when fed). Just sit on my sofa and let him crawl around. Mostly after some investigation he goes to sleep on my lap. After about an hour (sometimes longer or shorter) I put him back.
My little female comes out almost every day (also except when fed). She just a baby and has to get used to handling. So she is out more often but also for a shorter period. She isn't out longer than 30 minutes.
When I take my snakes out I always check them completely. If they are out already this is just a great opportunity to do so. And they get used to being checked. When I need to go to a vet (I have been several time with my male BP) they are very calm and easy to treat. I also mesure and weigh them regularly.
I almost never take them out. In the first place I hate it to be looked at. Second of all I don't want to take the risk of my snakes getting ill. Especially when you get in contact with other animals (or even reptiles) you risk the health of your snake. And third of all it isn't often warm enough here (Holland) and BP are very liable to catch things.
The only place they come out of the house is on my lap on the balcony to catch some sunlight.

Nothing. But I do remember one of my kids brought one to band camp. Told him to take it home. LOL

We play cards a lot. But you can't trust Martha when it comes to Rummy...we only let her play spades now. I mean, how DID she hide that card? REALLY.
I play poker with mine sometimes. He's very good at bluffing too! You never see an expression on his face no matter what "hand" he has.
Some of the rooms in my house i have designed snake profe so i can just let them roam free and know they cant get up to any mishchif or escape down any holes of pipes. They sometimes spend hours roaming and i even leave them over night (being nocturnal). Some though just like to be in there enclosers but the 'roamers' love to spent time in my snake (escape) profe rooms. Then.nin the morning i just locate them and put them in there enclosers for the day. They thrive off it! Ade
I hav've made king of a climbing frame for my Boas, that they spend hours out in the sun just circling round and round until they settle. They love to climb and never head for the ground. I could leave them on there for a full day when the suns out and they would try to evaide. Only thing is, trying to get them off when there intertwinde aroung the climing frame....there so strong! Peace Ade.
Pic, of one of my Boas on Cain not climing frame.
