What is the best tank setup for american toads???

ChristinaK Aug 18, 2004 05:57 PM

My husband has 2 American toads, he has had them for over a year now. They are in a small tank now and I would like to put them in a 10 gal tank. I just dont know the best way to set it up for them.

A 20 gallon long would be minimum for two american toads, especially as adults. You should have a soft substrate, like bed a beast or eco earth... heating should not be necessary since they can survive a wide range of temps, check www.amphibiancare.com for a care sheet and some pics.
