QUESTION ABOUT MEALS

twilightfade212 Aug 18, 2004 09:10 PM

I was wondering if my three male turtles would feel more comfortable eating alone. At first they ate together fine, but for the pat week or so one keeps running away after barely eating anything (and he's the tough guy in the group). Thanks so much...........

I know when I added a girlfriend for my male ornate Rex, they did not eat too well together at first. My solution was to just add a second feeding dish so they could eat at separate sides of the outdoor enclosure. Slowly, I moved the feeding spots closer together and now they eat out of same dish.

I'd say just add separate feeding dishes for a while and see if it helps. I know on some of my turtles favorite foods, they will take a big piece and go off to eat it at their leasure sometimes.
