Hello all - just thought I'd post a couple of pics of the habitat I built for a pair of Mali Uros. It is more or less complete save for some furnishings. The dimensions are 60" x 18" x 15". The lighting is from a dual 48" fluroescent balluster w/ an EcoTerra 8.0 and a cool white bulb, w/ the heating coming from an EcoTerra tight-beam 100 watt and a 50 watt infared "kicker". My warm end is right at 100 degrees, the cool end is ~ 85 degrees and the basking area is 115-120. The access is thru the front, which is glazed w/ a piece of 3/16" clear tempered glass. As you can see, the middle leg and the leg gussets were added after substantial completion (they aren't stained), but considering this is the first real woodworking project I've ever done, I'm pretty pleased. What do you all think?
