Adult sizes

I just purchased mine this week, and her snout to vent length is about 4 inches. I keep reading conflicting full sizes, and many of the pictures I'm seeing, with the possible exception of people with small hands , seem to show animals that are significantly larger. Just wondering how much more growth I can expect. That vine she's on is about an inch in diameter.

well, i dont know of any special way to determine adult size other than going by weight. part of the reason you may be running into conflicting "sizes" on different websites is that some may be measuring overall length (snout to tip of tail) while others only measure snout to vent. most should be using snout to vent lengths. different geckos will grow at different rates for a variety of factors. you can expect your gecko to reach its "full size" after it reaches about a year old. if youve got a chance, i would recommend stopping by a local reptile show if theyve got any nearby, that way you can get a good look at adult crested geckos and get a better feel for their size.
