Why can't I

eunectes4 Aug 18, 2004 11:14 PM

Why is it so hard to find scientific information on Trimeresurus albolabris (white-lipped tree viper). Everything out there is very brief or is a simple photo or more. This snake is in many collections and there is ready information on keeping all over the place but very little on the actual animal itself. Can anyone point me in a direction where I can read some detailed info on them. I can find more information on Eunectes Beniensis than I can on a white-lipped tree viper and I know of 0 Beni anacondas in collections. Thanks in advance.

There is not a lot of info on them on the net, however there are many books about asian snakes that have detailed information about their range and other requirements. But their is not much in detail about them. Sounds like someone should write a book about them and their cousins. If you do some hard work into the the and research the few publishers of reptile books I think they will have asian snake books with the info you need but that info is not readily available on the net. Lucky for the publishers.

I waited a long time for an answer on that one. Can you recomend any books off the top of your head to look for?
