Tegu Feeding Pictures - Quail, Chicks, Mice...

todeyius Aug 19, 2004 12:47 AM

These are my Tegus, Martha (red) and Stewart (blue). Stewart is about 27 inches long and Martha is about 33 inches long. They are as gentle as dogs, have never hissed or threaten to bite

This was them 4.5 months ago:

This is them now:

As awesome as i think these lizards are, I could not own one,

I could not FEED it all those furries, Just can't do it!
But I love BIG lizards, and admire their strength, and Beauty.
I stick to the big BUG and Veggie eaters lol

Anyway, they are incredibly healthy looking, and seem to be getting huge. You have some marvelous pics there too!

Love the big red guy, guess its Stewart, glad they are thriving for you,

Good Luck with them, maybe we will see little ones soon.

Thanks. I purchased Martha from PrehistoricPets, and stewart was a gift from another breeder.

The enclosure I have right now was built as a temporary and portable house for their juvinile months because I too am moving soon (two weeks till I am moving to Seattle.) As soon as Martha outgrows this enclosure I will build

Here is the 32 cubic foot collapsable terrarium:

...the duct tape is just to dirtproof the hinges, its actually very stable and has served me well these months.

And this is where my Beardie, Puff the Magic Dragon lives... There is no enclosure, he free roams the apartment and mostly stays on his stand:
