I will post in both languages as best I can on this one.

Question one: I do not know if you are french or not, but alot more people would be able to assist you with your questions, if they could speak french. I happen to, being from Louisiana.

Questions two: They sleep just like snakes do, they do not need eyelids to cover them, just as long as they have a place to hide from lights during the day - they keep them moistened by licking them or just the humid air is enough.

Question three: They do come down to feed, but not as much as feeding in the trees. The females will however come down to the ground to bury their eggs.

Bonne jour...

well Charlie me old boyo, you caught me out. i aint French! (no surprise). I just got the geckos though and put them in a six foot tall, one foot square enclosure with a Devils Ivy plant thats about three-four feet tall. thing is they probably won't be able to find the crickets in this mass very easily so i might have to down size for the time being. is it common for the little fellows to not eat for a day or two (especially when relocated)
?

Yeah, well once they learn that the "food god" is bringing them some delights, they will put two and two together. I can hardly get my hands into the tanks without them jumping on me and inspecting them for crickets. BUT, if they are in a brand new place and also a very large one, they might not be finding the food.

Buy you some sticky pad velcrow and place it on branches where they hang out...I have about three-four places in my larger tanks that I alternate between, they recognise the bowl(with the other piece of velcrow on it) after a few feedings. Then you can move them around and they will find it easily. As far as the crickets, that might be a little tricky. Mine usually hang out towards the bottom part of the tanks looking down when I feed crickets and lunge at them as they see one passing by. That, I guess, is another one of those learned condition responses, because they are always there at about 9PM and then after that, they head back north, when I put the bowls in.

Moving them, esp. after being in the same place for a little while and if they are older, might be causing them some stress and feeding problems, but they will get used to it. I am having problems with one of my males. He is being real stubborn right now with the whole not eatting like he used to deal. I moved him about a week ago and he has not been eatting the same. He will get used to it before he starves though, just as the others have in the past. If they are old enough, I would just keep them in the new enclosure and keep an eye on them. If they do not eat, then keep putting baby food/gecko mix in there. You can even dab some on their nose using the bowl, but as long as they are located near a frequent visiting spot, I don't think that you will need to do that... just leave a few crickets at the bottom wandering around with a cheerio and an apple slice, eventually they will hear or find them. Other than that, I would just leave them in there. They should be fine. Good luck.
