kamakiri Aug 19, 2004 04:32 AM

hello. i have been doing some research on basilisks and they seem pretty kool and not too much that i cant handle. i was just wondering how they are as far as temperment is concerned and what they are like as a pet(share some experience advice?). thanks in advance!

They aren't really pets, they are more display animals. My green bassie had a nasty personality and would bite if you came near her. They are supposed to settle down with time, but I had to give her up, since she was bothering my water dragons. If you want something that you can handle, don't get a bassie. If you just want a cool lizard to look at, then get a huge enclosure, set it up right and enjoy.

I second that..
nothing to handle but great display animals.
Don´t forget that they need space: 400g are small , bigger is better.
