lcgeckos Aug 19, 2004 09:36 AM

I am planning on moving my juvie corns into 20gallon long tanks. The reptile room stays at about 80 degrees constantly. The tanks are already equipped with a UTH... what temperature should their hot spot be? What type of substrate do you guys recommend???

I keep my ratsnakes at 80/85. no problem shedding, eating, using the bathroom, or anything. It works, i'm not fixing this one. I use just basic astrotuf from home depot...i have 2 pieces per cage and when it comes time to clean (every other meal once they use the bathroom) i take the carpet it out, wipe out the bottom of the cage with a damp rag and put the new piece in, then just squirt the astrotuf off with the hose and let it dry.
