For a while I was considering getting an Iggy...and while in the future I may still get one, I dont think this point in my life is the right time to bring one into my household. Instead I've decided to add a Uro to my household....I know....it's not about a Tegu....but it sort-of is!

I have two basement rooms that I've used as "critter" rooms. One is a 10X10 and currently holds most of my reptiles. The other is an 11X25 (I think it's that long, I'm almost positive it's a little longer.) Right now that room only holds my tortoise table. The down side of the larger room is that it has very few plugins. However, we are in the process of remodleing the long room and will be putting quite a few more sockets in.

Once the room is remodled we'll be moveing the reptiles back into it. I have 2 4x2 cages, one hatchling rack and one juvie rack that need to go in there. This leaves me plenty of room for expanded caging for my Tegu, and my Uro. This is my game plan.

Either, two 8'x3'x2' cages against oppisit walls, OR in the middle of the room back to back. (I may make the cages a little taller, not sure yet.) They will be slant tops with hinging lids and will be dividable into two 4' cages each. If I do decide to do them against the walls I may even extend the depth by another foot. I may or may not use slant tops (haven't decided on that yet.)

Anyway, just wondering what you would all do, back to back cages? Or put them against the wall? I'm excited about all this, my little guy is probably ready for a larger cage (he's growing and growing!!)
