A problem with shedding.....msg

PaulaC Aug 19, 2004 02:12 PM

My son's young ball python shed last week, but it was not a clean shed. He shed in pieces, and there is still some dry skin on him right now. Do we need to do something to get this off, it seems to be on there and doesn't want to come off. He is eating still and seems to feel good.

mine did the same thing. try this, take a pillow case. get it wet with hot water. ring it out so it isnt dripping wet. if you use hot water by the time you ring it out itll be warm. put him in there for about an hour or two. some people say leave in over night but that freaks me out. make sure to tie it off so it cant get out. in 2 hours check. all the shed will be gone. it works like magic.

a to avoid the problem shedding next time, get the humidity up durning the shed. Try spraying the cage down a couple times a day.
