maybe the first extreme tri-colored hypo?

shannon brown Aug 19, 2004 06:42 PM

This male was produced from a triple het x triple het breeding .The bands are just about the same as the extreme hypos bands.I think they are a little more purple than the others.
I will breed him to a extreme and see what he is made of?He is also possible het for anery and albino.

Hi Shannon,
That is really neat looking. Is it from the same clutch as that albinos-(from the triple hets..?), thanks for the pics, its really neat looking.

Thanks jeff,
Yeah they are all litter mates. We are seeing all kinds of weird stuff from the triple het breedings.I just talked to my friend Bob and he said they hatched out a weird ghost that you can almost see through? Then Adam hatched that pearl(maybe a pearl?)snow and also there was a candy cane looking tangerine albino produced last year by Friends Bob and Gary,

Hi Shannon,

I this the sibling of the super pinner hypo female I got from you? If so, does that mean that mine is het for extreme, and that yours is double homozygous for extreme?

This assumes of course that "extreme" is a double homozygous trait (something I learned directly from you).

I bought this purple one at daytona,It came from a triple het x triple het breeding.
I had a long talk with mike falcon and he was telling me that his extremes come from hypo to hypo and he gets a couple out of every clutch. It sounds like they are het for the extreme. It may be a differant gene all together and thats why he gets about 25% every clutch.
I would expect that all the other hypos in the clutch are 66% het for the extreme?
These are my thoughts and nothing is proven yet?

Robert had indicated that it may be a dbl-homo animal(showing two traits at the same time) but I now think thats its a seperate morph all together?
Time will tell.
