Can someone tell me what substarte would be natural looking, safe, and holds moisture. I would like to use repti-lawn since its like grass and looks cool. But if its not safe then i don't want it. What about coco substrate?

I have always used aspen or pine shavings. Aspen won't hold moisture very well. What I do is when they go into shed, I spray the sides of the cage with warm water once a day until they shed. They all shed with no problems. Pine seems to hold moisture and humidity a bit better but some people on the forum claim it's toxic to snakes, Ive never had an issue in over 30yrs.
