help!! denting eggs...

alieliza Aug 20, 2004 12:16 AM

We have a clutch of eggs that seem to be fertile. They are fairly firm and look to have veins. They are, however, denting on the top. One is dented more than the other.
The temp is 82-84 degrees, the humidity is 70%. They are on vermiculite. There are also two other clutches in the incubator that are just fine (from another female).
Why is this happening.
Any advice or input is appreciated.
Thanks

when eggs dent its usually because the humidity is too low, you should try adding a bit more water to up the humidity, also denting is a sign that the eggs are going bad, so i try and candle them to check the health. Those two problems are usually the only ones associated with eggs denting. g/l.
