Well when i first got these two and put them together i thought they were fighting but now when i put them back together today i left them alone and went back to check on them he was just starting to "hook up" with her and i got a pic! so they kept on and he finished about 5 minutes ago!

well that pic is not how they mate. The male is just laying on top of the female in that pic. When leo's mate, the male bites the female on the neck and locks his jaw to get grip for stabilizing himself.

All depends on what the back end is doing, which we can't see in that pic.
