Rubbermaid as an enclosure question

oneidapro Aug 20, 2004 03:22 AM

I was thinking of using a Rubbermaid box as an enclosure for my corns but I am worried that they might get out as the lids do not seal tight all the way around.
Any suggestions would be great thanks.

My brother and his friend built a rack system using rubbermaids...(in case you don't know, a rack is like a book shelf with really short shelves) and then we just slide the rubbermaids in without lids. But you have to make sure the shelves are just the right height....

Don't know if that helps or not....

Some people use bungee cords that go around the tub.
I use 'S' Clamps all around the lid.
You can also drill holes in the lid and rim of the tub and insert 'S' hooks.

Drat! I forgot Kingsnake doesn't allow links to that forum. It's a link to a pic of a setup with 'S' hooks (that someone else made) and other info.

I'll try and email the link to you via kingsnake. If it doesn't work, then email me for the link: tigergenesis@comcast.net
