Its been quite a while. Any updates? I'm dying to know.

Hi there!

Heheh, I must have read your mind. I've been meaning to get on the forum for nearly a week now to give an update, finally got on, and saw your post.

Junior is doing wonderfully! We think junior is a She, we don't see any pores on her feet. So we've been calling her Baby Girl until we can think of a better name. She's been eating like a pig and has developed quite the round little belly. No shed yet, though.

So far, she's been eating a diet of pinhead crickets. Unlike her parents, she shows absolutely no interest in even the smallest mealworms (I've only been offering the freshly-molted ones). Mind you, this is just fine by me! I'd much rather she eat crickets. I've been gutloading the crickets with a variety of vegetables and dusting them with calcium + D3 twice a week.

Im so happy Junior is ok!About its gender i will not be so sure.We were sure Crockie was a girl until we had her for more than one year.Suddenly " she" developed a black scale on "her" tummy! Perhaps tribs only display sexual characteristics when they reach sexual maturity.You can tell they reach sexual maturity when you see a yellow or orange spot under the chin.

Great, good for you. You own one of the healthiest rare CB tribs. Most of em are wild caught. Its great to see a fellow hobbyist breeding em. It also gives hope for future baby's. Keep up the good work.

BTW, pinheads are better tham meallies anyway. Be sure to provide their supplements so they become healthy & happy.
