Handling?

NomadOfTheHills Aug 20, 2004 10:54 AM

What can you tell me about cresties handling tolerances? I heard they are better than leos when it comes to this. I imagine they are less like BTS when it comes to handling as well

In my opinion I would have to say it depends on the individual. I have a couple geckos that I swear enjoy coming out, they will sit in my hand and look around and occassionally will jump to my shoulder and hang out there for a little while, but I also have one in particular that I swear catching an anole is easier...she absolutely hates it...she has bit me a few times when I have to take her out to change her cage. I only handle her when I absolutely have to. So I have to say it depends on the individual....in general though they definitely handle it better than leos.

Best of luck!!!

It definitely depends on the crestie. My crestie runs around that whole cage, making it very difficult to catch him. He runs if he sees your hands anywhere near him. My leos on the other hand don't mind being handled at all, and a couple just crawl right onto my hand.
