Escaped Brb update.

Well its been 2 weeks now, and it seems all will be well. I followed the advice given here as well as that found in the Bc. manual. I've been giving him a pinky every 4-5 days, he's had three so far. I will try a larger prey item this weekend. Would it be adviseable to feed him a little more often, as he is really thin? I figured I would do this till he filled out a little more. I have a female as well, nearly the same age, and she is near twice the thickness. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanx, Clint.

Clint,
...A single pinky mouse is not much for a baby BRB. You probably notice that after he eats a pinky the lump is gone in less than 24 hours. I feed baby BRBs hopper and weanling mice which are a whole lot bigger than a pinky.
Good Luck,
Jeff

In the Bc. manual, it suggests feeding smaller than usual prey items for a couple of feedings. This guy was not emaciated but given his age, I felt this was sound advive. I just gave my female dob. 5/04 a weanling mouse this was her largest meal. I almost didn't give it to her, as I thought it was a little big. She got it down and is definately plump. I've been leary of feeding too large of prey items as I have a col. boa which regurgitates adult mice. Thanx for the input, I'm new at this. Clint
