Yes, I have seen an albino V. exanthematicus back in 1994 or maybe 1995? Ron St. Peirre had it in FL. There are the dark ones from Ghana, and the pink ones from Benin, which are endemic to a particular region where the soil is also pinkish - I have specific locality for that.
There is also the Sudanese types which may, or may not be V. ocellatus?? They are dark in color, and rarely have spots but if they do they are light bluish tinge to them...and rest of body is very dark grey, almost dull steel color.
Check out Daniel Bennett's newest book on V. exanthematicus - it is more than worth the price and good reading.
