Daytona and more.....

...well let's just say it was an eventful week for my family. We are safe and sound and all my animals are too. When we had to evecuate my area, we figured we were "good to go" since we already had reservations....
Of course that got shot down as soon as we realized we had to bring my 3 dogs with us! So.. reserve another room in a motel that takes pets. Everything fine.. We honestly had no idea that Charley was heading toward Daytona! We just had lunch Fri. and crashed early-- didn't watch any TV--mistake! When the winds started to really howl and scared my dogs (and us too admittedly) we figured we were in for a nice storm.
Understatement there. Anyway, after our window AC was pushed several inches into the room by the strong winds, there was about an hour of slowly diminishing but gusty gales.
We were just fine.
My new van was covered in sand, but none the worse. Lots of damage all along the beach and many shops had broken windows.
Sat. at the show was quite slow as might be expected and Sun. got a bit busier. I did have a chance to meet and actually talk to lots of people this year. As much fun as I could have with all the other stuff going on.
Anyway, my computer didn't make the trip as well as we did, and I had to get a new one. I lost nearly 100% of my old data, but that can be replaced. Those of you who have emailed-- I will respond when I can.
My heart goes out to all those less fortunate than us and we will be taking what supplies and etc. we can down to a really torn up area near Arcadia, FL. next week to help a bit.
Glad to get back and hope all is well with everyone.

If you let me at your old hard drive, I can probably recover all the data. You know how to reach me...
