Well back from the Vet....more...

footlonglizard Jun 24, 2003 03:19 PM

I took the lizard to the vet and he told me alot of things that the people on here mentioned in my previous post. Like it looks like possible egg binding, or it could be that the yolk sacs moved down in multiple numbers, we took an xray and 180$ CDN later there was no eggs in the body that have a shell around them. We could see nothing in the bottom portion of the body where the eggs should be. But in the x-ray the middle portion of the body seemed to have yolk sacs. He said that they will more the likely re-absorb into her body, or she could get a diease from it but i forget what its called. Anyway, wanted to give an update since everyone was interested in what was going on, i am going to have a copy of the xray later on this week and i will post that to show you visually what i am talking about and once you see that, im sure everyone will agree it is no longer egg binding.

Sounds like good news considering the other alternatives with surgery and such. I'm sure she will reabsorb, just keep the temps up and maintain a watchful eye.
