reflex21089 Aug 20, 2004 07:30 PM

Im planning on putting some live moss in my mantella terarrium and i was wondering if the moss that grows on the ground on the side of my house is alright (many caresheets say find some moss outside)granted that its pesticide free...or would i be better off just ordering some moss from black jungle or other online store...thanks bryan

seems to be doing fine. It has only been a few months, but if it dies, then I can go right out and get more.

I've used good old Vancouver moss, and it dose great in my viv. probbaly due to the fact we get so much rain here it loves the humidity! just make sure that you arent going to get any nasty bugs or parisites in your tank from it, I grow mine for a while in a small tank on a window sill, then move it into the viv.
