My baby defecates twice a day, is this normal?

I posted about 2 weeks ago about a new baby I got, he had a diahrear (sp?) of extremely smelly liquid. He had been to the vet, they think its gastro problem, but gave him dewormer anyway. Its been 2 weeks, the little guy is eating about 3-4 crix a night, the faeces are no longer smelly, but its still quite loose and light colored. He is also defecating twice a day (the 'main' one is around 6:30-7:00pm, and the 2nd one is sometime overnight, this 2nd one is very small, like 'left-overs' if you know what I mean?) Is this normal?

If he eats mealworm, the faeces are even more wet and loose. So I'm just feeding him crix at the moment.

One more question; once in a while, some of my leo will defecate a whitish colored waste (not urate), usually within a few days after shed. I think its the shed, but just want to make sure. If one has parasite, will it pass discolored stool all the time, or is it a once in a while thing?

Did your vet actually perform a fecal test? It's very possible that your baby has parasites the dewormers are totally ineffective against. They're very easy to miss in fecal tests because they're so small and also because they're not regularly deposited in the stools, so your vet may have to look for them specifically. They require different medications which are a lot more potent than regular dewormers.

My suggestion is to change the substrate daily, especially if he's pooping so often. This can help him a lot even when he's not taking any meds. By the way, my babies poop about twice a day too. I think it's because they have such a quick metabolism.
