how many Square inches of floor space for 1.3 mice do you recommend?? ~np~ THX IN ADV.

256 square inches of floor space would be more than enough for 1:3 mice. That's 16"x16" or equivalent.
I used to use 16"x22"x16" (LxWxH) for 1:4 and 1:5 colonies of mice and they had enough room for an exercise wheel, various tubes to run about in, plus food and water dishes. Most breeders would consider this size room enough for alot more mice. But I found once you count the babies, that space is filled up really fast. Pinkies to fuzzies don't need much space as they pretty much stay in the nest but once their eyes open at 2 and 1/2 weeks, they are all over the place. With mice that had 10 babies each batch, that's 40 babies
