Hey there for an adult Blue you will still need about a 7 or 8 foot long by 4 feet wide by about two to three feet tall. You will need to make sure that you are able to get all the way in for cleaning. My first tank I made with a side opening, It made for interesting cleaning as I had to crawl all the way into the tank to clean the back. My new one has twin sliding plexi doors on the front so that I can just reach in. Good luck.

No that is not ceder chips it is a red wood mixed with cypres mulch. That is what I put in my quarentine tank. My big tank has nothing but cypres in it. Thanks for the concearn though.

Yeah I do not normally use the redwood but I accidently picked up a bag so I thought I would slowly use it up and the quarenting tank was a good spot. The Tegu is a sweet heart and like you say I could not beat the price. Well others loss my gain and it actually worked out better for the Tegu too. I would have hated for her to end up neglected. Have a good one.
