FIRST, youe should NEVER house two different species of herp together. why? because both need very different requirments, beardies are diurnal, which means they thrive in the day and bask in temps over 100*f, they need a fairly dry enclosure with a little amount of humidity, they also grow much larger than leos and would eat its leopard gecko cagemate if given the chance
leopard geckos are nocturnal, meaning they thrive at night, they should never be housed on sand, they need a higher humidity percentage and temps should never go over 89*f
housing both in the same enclosure while trying to maintain the temperatures means one of them will die without a doubt, beardies should oly be kept with other beardie and leos should only be kept with other beardies
i strongly advise you to never do this, read some good caresheets befor you get either also..if you already have them...still read up one them, im not trying to be rude, just concerned for the animals
Dan
theat was supposed to say leos should only be kept with other leos****** not beardies sorry about that
Sure.....
Only if u r prepared to loose your leos to your beardies, its okay. If you want your money wasted, fine. I agree with the one before. Leo with leo / beardie with beardie. one per cage is also ok.
What about a fat-tail kept with a leo?
Bad idea. Fat tails are avannah/woodland dwellers and leos are dessert dwellers. They both may fight over territory, and fat tails are slightly larger than leos (wich may make the leo inferior). House only 1 species & your better off.
