How many heat panels to use?

lilbitlizz Aug 21, 2004 12:31 PM

I am in the process of building a 5' x 6' x 2' enclosure for a boa constrictor. I've decided to use the Radiant Heat Panels that were suggested earlier in the forum. The only problem is that I really don't know how many I'll need to keep it good and warm in there for her. Could someone who has used these before give me a general idea?

I would not use the Desert Rays Heat Panels, they really are not true radiant heat panels. There have been a lot of complaints about these. By the time you use enough of those you probably would have been better off using a ProProducts or Helix Heat Panel.

I would call Bob at Proproducts and tell him the dimension of your cage, the materials it is constructed of, the amount and placement of the ventilation, and the low temperatures of the room the cage will sit in throughout the year.

Is there a website I can check Pro-Products out at? I've done some looking through other forums and that one sounds like the best. I just can't find a link or address or phone number for Pro-Products!

The panels are great as is the customer service.
