Black Lace Ball Pythons!!!

dwherp Aug 21, 2004 02:04 PM

Two of these little black beauties recently hatched here from a pastel jungle to a normal (phenotype) breeding. There is no question that this is genetic. Over the next year or two I hope to be able to discern the way in which this trait is inherited.

I could not be more thrilled!
Hope you enjoy the pics,

Congrats.

So is there any sign of anything out of the ordinary in the "normal" parent? I'm wondering if this is an interaction between pastel and something else like with the pewter. Hope whatever the non pastel gene is there is some visible sign, maybe a white stomach or something.

Something very interesting is going on there. What do the parents look like? Black lace is a good name, very descriptive.

Dan,

It was really great meeting and talking to you in Daytona, and thank you for sharing this gorgeous Ball Python with all of us. Good luck with all your projects.
