knob rescue

kingaz Aug 21, 2004 03:28 PM

This is a male knoblochi that I picked up from a local shop about 2 years ago. They were keeping all 42" of him in a 5 gallon tank, he was way overpriced, and he sat there for almost a year. I offered the owner half his asking price one day, and walked out the door with the snake. He is of unknown age, but was shedding once a month for the first year, so he must not be that old. He hates to be handled, but is very active, and looks good on display.

He's got around 60 triads. I'll probably sell him or give him away one day soon to make space, but I'm so happy I got him out of the 5gal tank at the reptile store.

He's spectacular. I have never had a Mountain King before. Hear that feeding and behavior can be different, however, with less active months.

I have a Sonoran Black. Very aggressive feeder, truly enjoy him.
