Light Red/Orange Dots beneath pits on RES

micheley Aug 21, 2004 07:19 PM

Hello. I recently noticed one reddish/orange dot beneath the left side of my girl's pit and a couple more of the same colored dots on the right. Does anyone have any idea what these spots are?? Please help, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Michele

Hello again. I'm following up on my own message that was posted
08-21-04. Just before I noticed these spots, I moved my tank to a closet because a bad hurricane was headed our way. I live in Florida and we've been getting slammed out here. Well, in the closet, the turts didn't have their filter running. This was only for a short period of time, of course. Anyhow, it was just after I moved my turts back to their normal location that I noticed the spots on my girl and I believe their occurrence was the result of not having the filter running while in the closet.
Nevertheless, the spots have gone away. Both turts were given warm salt baths and so I think that pretty much knocked whatever was on her skin out. She's a happy, tanning, piggy of a turt as always. Even when she had these spots, she was acting the same. But anyway, they're gone now...in case anyone cares.
