HELP (Urgent!)

TAloha19 Aug 21, 2004 07:25 PM

My female gecko (about 8 months old), has swelling behind her front legs. They look like they are filled with liquid - similar to a blister. What are they? I just noticed them today. She is moving around, and they don't seem painful to her. They are roughly 1/2 inch in diameter.

try to take a pic and show us

if they're not discolored they may just be fat pockets. Someone else a while back had the same question

They are most likely fat deposits, a sign of a healthy gecko!

Here are a couple of pictures. I think the fat pockets make sense, as she has been eating a lot more in the past week or two. Does the possibility of being gravid have to do with anything? She jumped from my husband's hand last week, but I checked her over good and didn't see any signs of damage. Do these look like fat pockets? And is that a sign of obesity?

If u r positive she is a female, i have good news. If i'm not mistaken, those "pockets" also mean that your gecko is sexually mature and ready for breeding. Got any males?

i have 2 month old babies that have those fat pockets, it just means they are healthy and well fed

dont give out advice if your not sure about it..it can lead to bad places..
