does anyone know what kind of frog/toad this is?

I found this little cutie on my front porch today and i have no idea where it came from or what kind of frog/toad it is. If you have any idea as to the name of other info please reply. Thanks! -Tiff-

It's a toad... Shouldn't be kept in all water.
If you can tell us where you're located, it can be narrowed down and easier to figure out.

I live in Columbus, Ohio. I have no idea where it came from since I don't live near water. Some kid in my neighborhood must have caught him and brought him home. I'm not sure what to because I don't know much about toads. Please help. -Tiff-

Pretty sure it's a fowlers toad. What you should do is let it go. I don't think someone caught and released it, if you have a yard the toad was likely in transit looking for a place to get some bugs.
Toads do not need to live by a water source to survive, they only need a water source to breed, than they can leave it. Some might stay near the water source, some may go far away.

I have two Toads just like that...I live in Pennsylvania...central PA...Me sister has Two like that a little bigger though they are darker...I will get some pictures today if i can...Also I have a tadpole...
