Acrylic or Glass?

sumo Aug 21, 2004 09:07 PM

Hello,

I am planning on buying a tank that is 48"x18". I want to put 2 Red Eared Sliders in it and when they beg they use there claws and scratch the glass. Do you think that their claws will scratch the acrylic? Also, if you know and advantages or disadvantages about glass and acrylic will you please tell me.

Thank You

acrylic will sracth and become unsightly with anything that has claws/nails on it in time .I would say go with glass and that would last and be more viewable then acrylics would be for the long haul
