About a month ago I thought one of my female corns ovulated. Turns out she did and I missed it. About 2 weeks later I attempted to mate her with my male snow corn. He chased her around the cage and she would not let him breed her. I started to wonder why. I removed the pair, placed them in their homes and decided to wait a little longer.

A week later before I walked out the door for work, I looked in her cage and found her on a small pile of eggs! Looks about 8 eggs and 4 slugs. When I came in in the morning, I removed the eggs from her and placed them in the incubator and tossed the slugs (the ones I could remove from the pile).

So now I have a small pile of eggs that still look good! The last time she was with a male (the same male I have been breeding her with for a while) was over a year ago.

What a nice surpise! I expect albinos het for snow and double het for snows

And I though I may take the year off. Guess my female had other plans
