Any way around this problem?

verrykerry Aug 21, 2004 11:19 PM

Is there any way around the expensive shipping costs associated with buying frozen feeders? I've noticed most of the prices for the actual frozen animals are about the same out there, but GEEZ, shipping is so expensive...

Find the closest supplier to you and arrange to pick up your order is one way to avoid the shipping costs. Breeding your own is another though the cost to house and feed your feeders, may surpass what you would spend in shipping in the first place.

I met with Tommy at Bob's show, and he has sold his company to a place in Plano. He works for them as a distributer now. If you are looking for rats and mice locally, check out Big Cheese. They just opened a store front in Fort Worth. Their prices are awesome. Check them out! If you are closer to Plano, I think the place Tommy distibutes for is on Spring Creek, close to 75. Those are the 2 most well known and cleanest places to get rats from locally. You can still contact Tommy at home, and he can get you in touch with the place he works for now, (I can't remember the name of it to save my life right now). Anyways, good luck.
