What line is my red bull?

TraceH Aug 22, 2004 01:09 AM

I recently purchased a pair of red bulls from the Daytona reptile expo. I believe I got them from a guy named Tim Thames, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know who was selling red bulls there? At the time I didn't know there were different blood lines of red bulls, now I am interested. Also, what is the Latin name of the red bull? Is it melanoleucus sayi or catenifer sayi? Thanks

I believe the guy you are referring to is Tim Thomas, if my memory serves me right. His red bulls, which I did ask about, were the Crumbly line. Hope this helps!

Take care!

He was selling them at Lee Abbott's table right? He did say they came from Crumley's line. They looked pretty nice to me and very big for being this years hatchlings.

Wow, thanks guys I wasn't expecting an answer at all. Could you tell me more about the Crumbly line? Is it better than the Ginter? Pros, cons? Thanks

Both lines of red bulls ( Crumbly line and Ginter line ) are very nice and also very different looking than each other. That is why I will be looking at having one of each in my collection, as I have a Ginter line red bull only.

To say one is better than the other is all up to which one you like better. The Ginter line is a locale line from Kingsville, Tx, while the Crumbly line is not. That is one difference between the two. To me, they both have an overall different look, appearance, and shades of color but are both AWESOME!

I will post a pic of my Ginter red bull soon.

Take care!
