Can Anyone Identify This Gecko For Me?

adrianslaney Aug 22, 2004 01:23 AM

I caught this gecko tonight, and should be able to catch more, and would like to give it a proper home, can anyone identify it, so I can look up specific care sheets? I think it is a Texas banded gecko (Coleonyx brevis). Thanks!

I think I may have answered my own question. I now believe that it is H.turcicus--here is a picture I found with Google images:

Agree, disagree? Know if they have special care requirements?

As always, I appreciate any help!

Yes that is H. turcicus, Mediterranean gecko. Cute little things!

That is definately a Mediterranean Gecko....I've been trying to figure out what those were for a couple weeks, cuze I found some eggs, and I'm 100 percent certain now lol! Here is a link to another pic that looks more like your pics; the professional photos I've seen threw me off somewhat, they look much bigger in those photos.
