I didn't think I'd ever have to do this...

...but I've got a Suboc that just will not eat. She had been feeding well on two to four fuzzies per week, but just all of the sudden she decided that she has no interest in food. It's been about five weeks now. My instinct is to give her a shot of Flagyl, but I don't want to overreact. The temps and humidity are correct. What do you guys think?

I still would not panic at 5 weeks. Give us more info. How long have you had this snake? Is it captive bred or w/c? What else, if anything, has changed or happened? Is the snake fat and sassy, or on the thin side? What else have you tried to encourage the snake to eat? Was/is there a shed cycle during this period of time????????????????????? A healthy snake can (and sometimes will) go MUCH longer than 5 weeks without eating.
But "healthy" is the operative word. Any other reason to think that this snake may be ill????????????? Duffy
Oh, yeah...You say the temps are right, but are the temps in your home getting cooler with the season, and are we talking natural lighting (does the snake know that the days are getting shorter?) :D

had a nifty solution. Take a hens egg and mix it with a fork. Put your snake in a deli cup with the rat pup all egged up. Check it out.
