Red gargoyle

RandyS Aug 22, 2004 09:13 AM

I think she is done laying for the season. Her color is getting back to what it was before she started laying (her color fadded a bit when she was gravid). I hatched out 6 babies from her this season and some of them are starting to get some orange/red in them. I hope a few turn out like her. I havn't posted much this season, but it looks like my Rachs are slowing down so I'll try to get some pic's up.

Randy, she is a real beauty. Thanks for sharing the pix.

I have a question: do you get a pretty good idea of how the baby will turn out as an adult, or do you have to wait with gargoyles? I know that my baby black striped gargoyle is showing a lot of stripe right now - but I've never had a gargoyle with color.

I hope you take some baby and adult comparison pix. (Unless, of course, you want to drop my a line and send one my way!).

Again, thanks for picture. Very nice.

Hi Monte,
I have some hatchlings pics of the red female somewhere on a cd, I'll try to find them. Here is a link to what she looked like at about two months old. http://users.adelphia.net/~randysok/images/Gargoyle1.jpg
She didn't have much color than but her parents did. So I would say you have to wait untill their older to tell how much orange/red they will get.
