Ok someone i know gave me a western toad they found. They got a bunch up in the mountains and gave me one. Are they illegal to collect? I dont want any legal trouble so i could let it go if i should. I heard from a book they are endangered but i find them as much as I find other species so... yeah. Its on moist peat moss and i feed it little bugs around the garden. If theres anything i should know i would like to hear it before its too late.

I let it go. It is in my pond and i toss in a few bugs a day which it quickly eats. It will have places to hide because there are rocks and bark and bushes and driftwood ALL over my yard.
