wow! he looks so much better! you did a great job. he has a nice big cage too. does he not have a hide spot or did you take it out for the pic? if not he really should have one. they need a place to hide when they are scared so they dont get to stressed out. i have really injoyed hearing buddys recovery stories. i have to admit when you first got him and showed that first pic and told your story i diddnt think he would come this far.but you proved me wrong. keep up the great work. your uro is very lucky to have you.

He's cute.
How big is his enclosure? Because I'm thinking of updating all of my enclosures to bigger sizes and was wondering how he does in one that big.
His tank is 48 x 18 and I think that is a 75 gal. I would like it to be bigger but he does very well in it. Temps are good and I am happy with that but you know that you only want the best for your little friends but space is alway the problem.
-----
Yeah, see my only problem is that I have hardly any room in my room. See I live with my parents (since i'm only 17). In my room there is a bearded dragon, leopard gecko and a Saharan uromastyx.
Downstairs there are 2 mali uromastyx, an adult bearded, a tokaye gecko and a tarantula. I want to update the Mali, saharan, leopard and bearded dragons's enclosures, so they have more room to run around in (they all have room, just not as much as I'd like). Space is very limited for me. I'm even selling my bunk bed and going to sleep on a mattress on the floor so I can put my Mali upstairs with me.
I'm just wondering if its worth it to do it know instead of later when they grow more ( I definetley have to do it for my dragon, he can jump as high as his tank).
Yes, I know what you mean. Maybe you can try to build a wall unit size enclosure but have it divided into different cages for your reptiles. Uro's on the bottom since they need sand and it is very heavy and then beards, geckos. Think about it maybe it will work. You will just be using 1 full wall.

See here's the thing, I have the worlds smallest room. Seriously its 9ft by 9ft, the ceiling is about 6ft tall, (see i'm 5'8" so it works out great). But maybe I'll measure things out and see how a wall unit will work.
It might go better since my mom sells mobile filing systems (i think they could make one for my needs and i could get it cheap since my mom works for the company.)
Thanks for all of your help.
Buddy's hide spot is under the decorations. If you look at the picture you will see a little bit of the opening. He loves it too. He only goes in there when he sleeps or sometime he digs so much that he covers it and then he redigs it and goes in for a minute or so. Thanks for the compliment on how he came along. I didn't think he was going to make it either

What type of sand do you have in there with him. It doesn't look like playsand? Is it Silica?
I bought playsand from Home Depot and when I put it in the tank it was dark and moist. I then put playsand from Toys r Us and it is light and fluffy. No dust and both are washed.

Awesome!! buddy looks great. What great job you did getting him turned around!
btw: the tank looks great too!
Thank you on both. We are very happy with everything. So happy that we build a large enclosure (closet size) for our iguana Tiny
Now everyone is happy
