lots of people have talked about mites/bug problems with bark substrates, i have heard quite a few with zoomed reptibark. i use reptibark right now but i havent seen anything. what about these heat treated bark substrates from LLLreptile? would mites/bugs be elimnated from it? what about the eggs of mites?
reptibark is a few dollars more then the stuff LLL has so replacing a whole 36"x12" tank wont hit the wallet as hard, plus its cheaper to buy more. 16 qts for $11,, it takes 8 qts for fill up my tank. i wanted to know if you guys have used the LLL stuff and get some feedback/info on it, i dont wanna call LLL and ask because no store is going to say negative about about their own products.
I'm also debating maybe going with carpet, but how is keeping up himidity with that stuff? i had problems with keeping up my humidity in my screen top cage w/reptibark even with misting but that was solved by covering 80% of the top with acrylic panes from home depot along with misting. which is better zoomed or esu?
