Few quick questions before i go shopping for supplies

Has anyone tried going to CVS and buying calcium and grinding it to give to your geckos, I was wondering If you can do that

I've also heard leopards can't have vitamin A or they can't have beta carotine... what is it?

here's what i got on my supplies (i already have tank and cave)

lizard liner
tank cover
thermometer/humidity guage (i'll get another thermometer from lowes as well
5 gallon under tank heater (for 10 gallon set-up)
hagen aqua glow 15 watta incadescent aquarium lightbulb (is this the right light, I know they are nighttime animals... max watts on my light is 19 i believe
zoo med recptivite reptile vitamins

You should probably get a higher wattage bulb unless the undertank heater is enough to get the temps to a good level. (85-90 on hot side, 80 in middle, around 70-75 on cool side.)

You actually probably don't even need a light bulb. I just use a UTH on half of my ten gallon and it heats it up great. It was actually getting too warm and I had to get a dimmer.
