I have just a few minor questions to ask, thanks in advance!
1. How often should a cage be throughly cleaned such as with soap and a water bleach solution. I seem to clean mine in that matter about every two months, and change the aspen every couple of weeks.
2. When a bowl of water is tipped what should I do? I know the importance of keeping a dry substrate, so I usually remove some of the aspen and replace it with dry aspen. What if it is a small amount of water, and not the whole bowl?
3. How safe is aspen? I thought any substrate was harmful when injected but I have heard some people say on these posts that aspen is completely safe if swallowed. WHen I feed f/t is it ok to simply place the food on the aspen. Also, is there anyway to keep the food from getting soaked? Or does that just come with the thawing part? I place mine in a ziplock bag and soak it in hot water, but they are always soggy. Thank you for your time and responses?
