Probably will best to avoid household animals like cats and lizards or just make sure they dont' get in the same room as your lizards
On this forum someone posted that their leo was found screaming at a cat through its cage another post was much sadder where a cat had actually gotten a hold of a leo and was playing with it on the floor. I can't remember if it lived or not, it definately lost its tail.
yah, my cat is kept out of the same room as my herps for that reason! when she dose happen to sneak in, her and Zorra (my female leo) have little stare downs, the cat will sit there for hours and stare at zorra who always steps out of her hide and stares back. I think its rather harmless, neither of them seems to get stressed over it, but i still dont let it happen because i dont want to risk my leos health!

I have a cat as well and of course she sits and stares at my leos. However my leos are fine and my cat is fine so I dont really see any huge issue.
My cat would watch the geckos a little at first. But he would watch from the bed, about 4 feet away from the cage. That was only for a couple days.
Now he completely ignores them and even my pet rats.
My cat's a little odd compared to some X3
My cat liked watching them for a few days. He was also a big fan on jumping on their cages, so now it's hard metal screens for everyone. He learned real quick that jumping on cages equals getting sprayed with water from the bottles I use for misting. He doesn't like that much. He is also not allowed to come into the room when I am feeding, cleaning, picture taking, or doing anything else that requires an open cage. I find myself cat-proofing more cages than leo-proofing them. The only cage that worries me in the reptile room is the one used for my chameleon (reptarium - soft mesh cage). I'm worried he'll rip through it and get in or let the cham out.
I find he actually likes watching the crickets in the cages more than the leos. He's also known to kill any crickets that get out, so he's kind of handy to keep around!

I let my cats watch my geckos. Only one of the cats out of four are interested, though. If I have the top open, I keep them out of the room. They just have little staredowns. Heh. It's cute! Heres some pictures.

My cats have staredowns with Aurora, my leopard gecko, either from the top of the cage or the side. She either stares back, or totally ignores them. I find that cats and leopard geckos are quite alike in that they ignore everything unless they *need* attention, or feel like being annoying. Plus they do that tail flicky thing when going for prey.
